These pictures show a hot gas generator (HGG) for cement plant finishing mill. The burner features a natural gas pilot and natural gas main flame firing at a design firing rate of 22.5 MM BTU/hr. The accompanying fuel skid complies with CSA B149.3 Gas Standard and Provincial regulations. In this application, the combustion air damper actuator is electronically linked to the gas control valve and requires calibration during commissioning activities. Strict safety interlock and control instrumentation static and dynamic testing was conducted to maximize burner safety and efficiency.
